Big Kid Entertainment is a professional touring company that specializes in educational in-school theatre. Our provincially acclaimed programs are based on curriculum themes and complement the Safe Schools Act as dictated by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
All productions include grade specific follow-up visits to the classroom. Since 2004 our educational fairy tales have been viewed by more than 1.5 million students (and counting).
Actors rotate individually into the classrooms. Each actor will reinforce the program’s centering theme. Content and focus are grade specific. The actors (upon request) will also discuss the arts as a career opportunity with intermediate students.
Each individual classroom visit is approximately 15-20 minutes long. We do our best to maximize visit time and work with each school’s unique daily schedule.
Program visits are available pre or post production. Pre program visits are recommended for middle schools and intermediate students.
